Morning encouraged Haruo and River to take advantage of the pond on campus which had frozen over. Since they had been studying so hard, they hadn't had the opportunity to go ice-skating there. In that regards, after finals, having the opportunity to skate there was a great little bit of relaxation after the long grind of the semester.
It was cold, but felt so wonderful to just have some free time to be able to spend time with each other. Evidently others were around enjoying their free time after exams too.
Haruo gave his beloved wife, River, a heat-of-the-moment, impassioned kiss...
...after which they decided to go to the university cafe to get themselves their favorite snack: some brownies.
They used the down-time wisely, getting to know dorm-mates that they had barely talked to during the course of the semester and cooking for them for the time being. As it was, Saturday was the day that they would be leaving the campus and it was toss-up as to when Haruo and River would be able to return in order to complete their degree.
When it was time to depart, it certainly didn't take long for people to exit the dorm-rooms. Haruo and River bade their farewells to the barely introduced dorm-mates and headed home.
The moving van was waiting for them and they packed their belongings in the van and off they went.
Moving was the bane of all travellers, but they were certainly glad to be home...
...and none were so happy but River and Haruo to see their kids and their relatives.
