Brianna Goes Into Labour

The Chikamori family settled in and since she was on maternity leave; Brianna played console games with her niece, Karina. It proved to be a lot of fun since Brianna loved console games as much as Karina did.

Of course, she was told by Dad that she had to do her homework before playing games. Good job, Braden; gotta stay on top of the kid and make sure she does what she's told. Grandma River approves.

Great Grandpa Yasunobu and Grandma River decided that they would provide an impromptu concert with River on the piano and Yasunobu on the guitar.

Since Karina finished off her homework, she went back to playing console games with her aunt. And Mommy came back out from swimming in the backyard pool.

It was interesting that the ice-cream truck would make that backroad trek up to the Chikamori residence, but it did and Karina went and got herself an ice-cream.

...and the Chikamori family decided that it was high-time to eat.

At the campground, the Wainright-Steels were having a bit of a picnic after moving from Legacy Island with the rest of the Chikamoris. After the death of Susan Wainright-Chikamori, their ties with the rest of the Chikamori family were severed, but they still were part of the extended family due to Susan having married into the Chikamori family and they didn't mind moving to Cape Garner Island, it was a welcome move for Blair and Michael and they appreciated the much more relaxed pace of island life.

Overnight, the clouds started moving into the area and it certainly made things a lot more wet; which was typical Pacific Northwest weather.

Of course, that night was the night that Brianna's little one chose to give Mommy's uterus a good solid kick...and poor Brianna went into labour. So much for sleep and well, Tatsuyoshi...tough beans...time to buck up and become a father.

Well, labour went for quite a long time and it was almost six hours later that poor Brianna, tired and sweaty, gave birth to little Katrina (yeah, sorry, not too imaginative with names; maybe I should just let the game name them).

Welcome to the world, Katrina...
