The house came together pretty quickly even though there were some tense nights in the motel waiting on the house to be built. But eventually everything came down to moving day and they spent their first evening in the kitchen of the newly build home.
Of course, whatever food they had was no longer available to them and they had to start over with new food and Haruo, of course, had to do some cooking as Molly was still brassed off about Charles. Geez, get over it...will you...Molly?
Well, since it was still the holiday season, Haruo and the kids decorated the tree and Haruo headed up on the ladder to string Snowflake Day Lights.
They had moved into their new house on a weekday, so the following day was still a school day. Poor Allan; he decided to bike it all the way. It didn't seem as though it was as far as Sunset Valley Elementary, but still there were hills involved.
At least it wasn't so hard to get into the school.
River got on with her painting.
And she did buy a few photographs...which she promptly framed and hung up for inspiration.
Even though the house was less of a financial burden on them than the last, they knew that it was going to be quite a different setup...in any case and they still would have to pump out several paintings a week in order to pay the bills.
Their wedding photograph hung on the wall in quiet testament to the solidity of their marriage.
