It was a cloudy spring morning in Riverview as the Chikamoris got up for their day.
River set about doing another painting to make sure that she had ready stock to sell. She looked at the painting with a practiced eye and shrugged at how it looked because it really didn't seem to be one of her "masterpieces", but suffice it to say, when it was finished it topped §4000.00 appraised value, but it would go for much more than that.
She did receive a call about selling one of her paintings and she headed out the door to make sure that she was able to get to the buyer in time.
Evidently, being deputy PM (Vice-President) of the Free World (Canada...sorry... :D ) gave Fiona quite a bit of money and well as such Fiona was able to help out her daughter periodically with buying paintings. And as such, River was certainly grateful to her mother for helping her out financially with buying River's paintings. Her entire extended family did so.
River was able to sell a few more paintings to other people which certainly helped the coffers even more and it was well-evident that the Chikamoris were getting very well-heeled in Riverview.
Haruo on the other hand milked the cow.
Breakfast the next morning was a hurried affair and everybody had things to do.
When Masatoshi came home from the Scientific Research Center, he headed straight downstair to do some science research at home.
Haruo made dinner and Caitlin worked out on the weight machine.
But no activity was as good as personal time with River, Haruo thought to himself. Just he and his beloved wife.
That made all the struggles, all the hardships worth while, just because he could lose himself in River's embrace.
