Well, soon enough, Alanna aged up to young adult and River knew that the last of their children had certainly flown the coop. They had done what they could to ensure that their children were well-raised and grew up into mature young adults that would do their best in society.
Alanna stood over the cake looking forward to blowing out the candles and blown out they were.
She looked over at her mother and father who were cheering, despite the fact that there was sadness in her mother's eyes. After all, she was the last and the youngest of their children to become a young adult - there would be no more teenagers to lecture and coax. Alanna was free to do as she pleased. And one of the first things she intended to do was become a productive sim.
And the transformation of Alanna from teenager to young adulthood happened.
She looked rather pleased with the transformation and looked over to the right to see who was there. She noticed that Aidan was absent. No doubt he was still smarting over the rejection of his love overtures. But she knew that it was for the best. She and Aidan were opposites...and despite what they said about opposites attracting, it would prove to make a relationship rocky. Best that he go and find someone else.
She looked over to see Kunio cheering and out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Aidan approaching...stopping just far enough away to let her know that he respected her space. She hated being so harsh to Aidan, but it was for the best.
After the cake, it was time to go find herself a job.
But all was not well in Riverview that day. It was time to look up into the skies...and beware.
Because things were falling out of said sky...and it would be quite a feat to get out alive from that cataclysm.
...and Susan got to go collect rocks again.
