Keeping A Roof Over Our Heads

The usual maniacal mornings where everyone had to get out of the house usually ensued around six in the morning but mornings usually started much earlier than that for the Chikamori household. Caitlin, River's half-sister usually got up at around four in the morning to brew herself a cup of coffee.

After all, there was nothing like having a cup of java to pop one's eyes awake after a good night's sleep that still left you wanting to lounge around in bed. At least the caffeine caused one's blood-cells to go "holy cripes...and plumbobs, we'd better get our posteriors in gear."

And Shigeo usually found that there was a log-jam at the fridge in the morning. That's why the Chikamoris have two fridges on the go. One sim goes to one fridge, the other sim goes to the other. And hopefully they all won't have a fit because hopefully one won't get in the way of the other...(dryly) most times.

Eventually everyone got their meals...and the house was vacated...by the sims that had to head for work.

Greta still hadn't figured out what her life's calling was and was trying to decide between business and going into politics. Of course knowing that the late mayor, Fiona McIrish-Chikamori used to be quite well-regarded, she figured that perhaps a Johansson-Chikamori would probably be well-received in the mayoral office, even though she'd have to work her way from the ground up. But she still had time to figure that out.

River and Haruo went to do their usual monetary-gathering tasks; Haruo to paint, River to sculpt. Perhaps she'll figure out how to achieve a masterpiece in sculpture, eventually, but right now, she's trying to sculpt every potential statue that she can get the knowledge to do.

Haruo decided to make some more teppanyaki chicken with the grill and well, since he is a Level 10 cooking skill, he managed to make it perfectly even though it was his first time utilizing said grill.

Of course mealtime rolled around again after the kids and everyone else got home from work and everyone sat down to eat. River came home from delivering a sculpture on commission and well, others made room at the table to eat.

...and of course River and Haruo made time for each other...in the course of their busy day, just to tell each other how much they loved each other.

Of course there was laundry to do...and plants to pick.

...stomach pangs of hunger to quell and gemstones to cut.

...a family to take care of...

...and vicious rumors to squash...

...and illnesses to heal...before they infected the rest of the family. Such was life...

...and periodically...

...one can find Abacadabra sitting on his rear in the bathroom staring at an empty shower. Whatever makes him happy...
