CKNW Was Right; It Friggin' Snowed

Well, the weather guys at CKNW were right...because when they got up in the morning of the first day of school...well, cover me in sheep-dung and call me a mushroom, it was covered in the white-stuff and more was falling out of the sky. That was going to make running to and fro between classes at campus a wonderful affair.

Greta got out of the house and headed off...pretty late in fact because she was trying to deal with the sink which had suddenly sprung a leak, but well, no worries...she managed to get to school...and get her homework for the class from the prof.

...and it snowed...heavily...for the rest of the day.

The kids all knew that they had to get ahead in schoolwork if they wanted to graduate on the Dean's list so every spare minute they had they studied...hard. If they weren't eating, they were studying, if they weren't in class; they were studying. If they weren't...I think you get the picture.

Next morning was a lecture for the two who were taking Science/Medicine, and then following that was a lecture for the ones who were taking Fine Arts, Greta had the morning and part of the early afternoon to herself at the house since her business lecture was at four in the afternoon.

The Watcher followed the kids who were taking Fine Arts to class. My goodness was it ever dead.

I know it's hard getting into the swing of things at university, but well, geez... And then it was home and back to studying for all of them.

A long line of monotony only broken up by a visit from an alien (and no, the Watcher has a thing about aliens...like an acerbic wit once said... "You know when it comes to racism, people say: " I don't care if they're black, white, purple or green"… Ooh hold on now: Purple or Green? You gotta draw the line somewhere! To hell with purple people! - Unless they're suffocating - then help'em." Rest in Peace, Mitch.

You just can't have these aliens walking around town unchecked. After all, who knows what they're going to do to Riverview's society. Right?
