(1950s Narrator): There is lawful behavior required by Sims, and there are those who tend to flout the rules. Unfortunately it is hard to say who is going to follow the rules versus who will deem rules to be below their capacity to follow them.
Take for example, Haruo, who decided that guitar playing was a great way to increase his skills. It didn't really bother anyone because he chose to play the guitar any place other than a place where he could be considered a public nuisance.
Or Alanna who promptly went and did her work-experience over at Doo-Peas Office Tower in order to get her extra credits. Studious and hardworking, she did what she was supposed to do and worked hard to get where she wanted to go in life.
The young have their place in society...when they behave like civilized Sims, following the rules and generally behaving themselves, not being rebellious or talking back to their parents.
...and living an upright life is what allows Sims to be able to get recompense when someone who lives a less upright life decides that it is all fine and dandy to slander them in public. Alan is such a case. He, having lived a wholesome existence thus far, is now able to resort to the courts to obtain recompense for his falsely slandered reputation.
The Chikamori's young charge, Aidan, having done his homework promptly and has gone to work and back, is now able to take some well-earned time of his own playing the time-honored game of pool downstairs in the Chikamori's recreation room.
Lawful requirements of behavior even extend to the aged and Susan is one such elder sim who has given of herself to life in hard work and recognizance of lawful ordinances. After all, a lifetime of hard-work and attention to detail has enabled her to enjoy her retirement, reading a book, working on science experiments. How wonderful that she can now take time to enjoy herself.
When Haruo is not industriously working around the home he can be found at the keyboard. What wonderful sounds come from the keyboard as he has studiously attended to his piano-playing in his youth so that he can become such an accomplished player playing the beautiful sounds that come from the piano which he tickles the ivories so expertly.
All of the Chikamoris and their relatives and off-spring have been thus endowed with the skill of being industrious and law-abiding Sims and all do whatever they can to make their community a much brighter place.
Now...we will see the other half who are less industrious; less inclined to follow the letter of the law are up to. Let me introduce to you, fair viewer, one Mr. Sven Johansson who has dedicated his life to making other Sims miserable by becoming the town thug. His spate of muggings and other debauchery and criminal activities knows no bounds.
Harassment and intimidation are but tools in an entire arsenal that he has directed against the entire populace of Riverview. Police are powerless to stop his rampage through town. Here he has targeted one of the Chikamoris, one Masatoshi Chikamori, whom he feels can supplement his monetary needs. Will a mugging take place?
It appears as though Mr. Sven Johansson has picked the wrong person to divest of his lawful earnings. Because Mr. Masatoshi Chikamori has decided to fight back.
Never let it be said that the Watcher fails to render attention to those being wrongfully attacked by the town thug.
Wrath and hellfire rains down on Mr. Sven Johansson.
Perhaps it shall cause Mr. Sven Johansson to seek a much more lawful means of employment...
Or...perhaps not. Time, however, will tell...
