No Escaping Taxes (...and Death)

Of course, in the morning, since it was the following bill-day, the postie came and dropped off the bills. Bills aren't fun even at the best of times, but it just wouldn't be normal to have "no bills". Everyone pays bills, whether you'e paid off your mortgage, or loans or whatever. You still have recurring monthly bills like hydro, gas, telephone and internet. And municipal recurring taxes as well...so I figure keep it on and keep the monetary frustrations for the Chikamori family going. Guess what, this bill was §68K simoleons...gotta pay for the mayor's happy economic junket to China.

...and as usual the postie was staring longingly at the Chikamori residence thinking "How I wish I could afford something like this..." Somehow, I don't think delivering mail makes all that much money, Bert. Maybe it's time to reconsider what you're doing with your life. Maybe get some alternative streams of income, hmmmm?

Haruo decided that he needed to toil in the greenhouse...and enjoy the company of his beautiful plants.

...and Yasunobu got a chance to nearly keel over due to the cost of the upkeep on this house. Yasunobu had never seen a bill that high before in his life. "It cost this much to keep this house??"

...then it was time to eat for Yasunobu. Susan came down to join him at the table.

Meanwhile, Haruo was busy trying to plant replacement plants for those that had become barren and it was slowly starting to approach fall. Pretty soon, if these plants were outside, they would be dormant, but inside a greenhouse it was quite possible to farm year-round. It made sense to do it this way, especially if they wanted a major stockpile of perfect fruits and vegetables.

Finally, it was time to come in and eat. Haruo headed in and sat down with Yasunobu, Susan and River.

The paparazzi were always present, always looking for dirt on the Chikamori family and well, tonight was no different. The only thing that the Chikamoris could do was make life miserable for the paparazzi. That's a reason why you should keep bees near the gate. Stinks for you, eh, Buck Baer?

While the Chikamori family slept, the Watcher decided to roam by the family cemetery and see how the quieter half of the family existed. Nope...not really much activity, just one of the family ghosts staring at another family member's headstone.

Yes...we Sims all end up this way...just a delightful thought for one's daily toil of existence. Well...gotta go make some more simoleons.
