The Usual Grind

Now it is unsure as to why when two kids age up on the same day, one gets homework, the other doesn't? And poor Simone drew the short straw...that day. So while her dad's cousin and GrandAunt Susan sat down to eat, she cracked the books.

Toshiyuki went off to sell Don Lothario a painting, then blew up the garbage dump on the way back. Different strokes for different folks, I guess...

After coming home a bit singed, Toshiyuki decided that he was going to have a bit of something to eat. Well, I guess after causing an explosion at the garbage dump, the logical thing would be to be hungry...instead of going into the shower and cleaning yourself off...

It being late at night, the Chikamoris all went to sleep.

...and the Watcher took a stroll down to the Chikamori Family Cemetery to see how the "quieter half" of the family were doing. It looked as though Satoshi and Molly were acclimating to the fact that they were dead.

Despite the frenetic pace of mornings in the Chikamori household, the family did manage to grab breakfast from the fridge prior to their day starting in earnest.

During the course of the day, Toshiyuki managed to set himself on fire. Luckily for him the Watcher had placed an outdoor shower right next to the inventing bench. Incredibly lucky for him.

It probably wouldn't be the last time that he set himself on fire.

Simone and Jerad did homework after they got home from school.

...and River went out and sold a painting to Rayna Kaminski - evidently Rayna has taken a liking to River's brush-style and was definitely gratified to own yet another of River's artworks.

Since River wanted to get her cooking skill up, she and Haruo shared in the chores of putting together a meal...and leftovers. But with several more mouths to feed in the family, well, they both had to work together to put a meal on the table.

At least they all worked together as a family unit - one big, happy, mixed family: the McIrish-Chikamori clan...
